Hardware
Nokia 5250 uses a touchscreen display 2.8 "which is not too big, but the screen has a resolution of (360x640) pixels and produce 16 million colors. Meaning you'll get the color reproduction is clear and you will not face a problem to distinguish the text. However, the angle view the screen of the Nokia 5250 a little worse and the screen can not be used under direct sunlight.
At the front, the Nokia 5250 has three physical buttons that call, menu and end, whereas on the right side you will find the volume settings, slide the button to lock / unlock, and the camera shortcut button. You can find a 3.5 mm headset jack, microUSB port for data and battery charging on the side of the phone. While on the back side there are only a 2-megapixel camera.
Interface
Nokia 5250 uses Symbian OS S60 5th Edition. On the homescreen, we can add the contacts that we often call for ease of communication. At the bottom there are also two buttons namely telephone and contact. On it, there are four shortcut icons for the applications we use. On this page there is a 3x4 grid menu icon of the application that we can choose. Nothing happens when we shift lagging or using heavy applications.
For typing, the Nokia 5250 is equipped with a numeric keyboard in portrait and QWERTY keyboard in landscape mode. The keys on the QWERTY keyboard is quite small, because the screen is used Nokia 5250 is only 2.8 "but typing using the QWERTY keyboard is not a big problem when we have become accustomed. The screen also has a good level of sensitivity so comfortable when used.
Camera
Nokia 5250 uses a 2 megapixel camera without flash. Interface on the camera provides features such as show the grid, self timer, color tone, and much more for use. But the ability of the camera was mediocre, the camera does not support autofocus and no flash, not to mention the quality of images taken by the Nokia 5250 is still below what we expected. The resulting color of opaque, the image looks blurry and still far from the original.
Video Recorder
Nokia 5250 camera can record video with VGA quality (640x480) pixels at 30 fps. The results of the video was mediocre, the resulting color looks a little blurry from the original. But the video can be played back properly without lagging at all.
Music Player
Music player owned Nokia 5250 cell phone just like the other Nokia phones. When running the music player, the songs will be grouped on the artist, album, playlist, and all songs. When you've selected a song, album cover will be raised and there are buttons underneath the music player. The ability of speakers from Nokia 5250 to be reckoned with, because the speaker is able to produce a loud noise and ear pleasing. Headsets from Nokia 5250 was mediocre. But good enough to use while listening to the song anywhere.
Connectivity
One of the disappointing of the Nokia 5250 is the connectivity capabilities. Nokia 5250 only uses quad-band GSM EDGE and no Wi-Fi capability. Besides the GPS service is not available, but the Nokia 5250 is equipped with Bluetooth to connect with other wireless devices.
Browser
Web browsing was very boring on the Nokia 5250. Browser only supports Flash lite so that not all websites can be opened completely. Speed of the browser is still inferior to Opera Mini or Opera Mobile that you can download for free on the Ovi store. And worst of all, the Nokia 5250 does not have Wi-Fi and 3G networks that will make you lazy to do web browsing.
Appraisal
Excess
- Cheap
- Design a pretty good
Shortage
- There is no 3G service, Wi-Fi, and GPS
- Must buy a microSD card for a small internal memory
