Samsung Wave II Review

Samsung Wave II comes with a screen Super Clear LCD 3.7 ". Samsung Wave II will use the latest 1.2 OS Bada from Samsung. Handset also comes with a 5 megapixel camera, microSDHC card slot, Wi-Fi, and a 1GHz processor.

Hardware

Samsung Wave II using Super Clear LCD screen 3.7 "with a level of resolution (480x800) pixels. Although the screen is used instead of Super AMOLED screen Super Clear LCD, but is still one of the best LCD technology. The screen offers the ability visibility even in direct sunlight, vivid colors and good perspective. But that is quite disappointing is the screen does not have an automatic light sensor.

Below the screen there is the send button, menu, and end with an elegant design. On the left side there is only volume adjustment buttons. On the right there is a lock button and shortcut keys for the camera. Then at the top you'll find the loudspeaker, a 3.5mm headset jack and microUSB port. On the back there is a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash.

Interface

Samsung Wave II uses the latest 1.2 OS Bada from Samsung. We have discussed about the ability of this OS on a review of our previous review. Upgrade provides several improvements such as the Samsung Wave II can still be used even if it is connected via the microUSB port Then there are also several new features - Swype-like text input, an improved browser, and implementation of OpenGL ES for game development.

Bada OS has all the prerequisites for a modern mobile OS - homescreens that comes with widgets, social networks are integrated with the phonebook, the ability to copy and paste, song recognition, basic editing capabilities for video and pictures, as well as video and music player that qualified with the DivX / Xvid and FLAC codec support. The main drawback of the Bada OS is still not there are many third party applications to use.

At the Bada OS 1.2 multitasking can only be done for basic applications such as calendar and email. Multitasking capabilities and Adobe Flash are actually going to get the Samsung Wave II with Bada OS 2.0, which will be launched in the summer.

Camera

Samsung Wave uses a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. Interface on the camera of the Samsung-made original. Interface was very friendly and fun when used, the interface is equipped with a number of additional useful settings such as preset shooting modes present scenes and out of the box. In addition, the image is taken through a special key with a good speed.

The images produced by outdoor exposure and the camera has the exact color representation. The image also has a sharp focus, but to feel a little less detail. For indoor terlbilang image quality is more than enough. LED flash capable of shooting well enlighten.

Video Recorder

Wave II Samsung camera capable of recording HD video at 720p resolution with 30fps so it makes the video look very smooth. In addition the video also has accurate color representation and exposure on the video is also quite fairly good.

Music Player

Music player on the Samsung Wave II the same as air-OS handsets other Bada. Music player supports FLAC, several audio effects seperto 5.1 channel surround sound or dubbed DNSe Digital Natural Sound Engine. The interface looks better than the music player music player congenital Froyo Android OS. Music player is also equipped with a music recognition software.

Connectivity

Samsung Wace II has a fairly comprehensive connectivity options - 3G network capabilities, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS, DLNA for media sharing, as well as FM radio.

Browser

Dolphin default browser Bada OS 1.2 to get some improvements, especially in terms of speed. However, basic support such as HTML5 and Flash Lite 3.xx still the same. Features Flash Lite 4 will be present at the Bada OS 2.0, which was launched in the summer. But we hope that the OS can use the Flash Support Bada 10.1 true. In addition, the browser still does not support text reflow correctly so that makes everything look too small when the browser is made fit to screen. The browser uses high compression for web images, so to load pages quickly, but the resulting look is very bad.
